Dubai Airport to Introduce Color-Coded Parking for Easier Navigation

Finding your vehicle at Dubai International Airport's (DXB) expansive parking lots will soon be a breeze. Dubai Airports announced on Wednesday that it will be rolling out several new developments in the coming months, including color-coded parking areas designed to make navigation easier for motorists. With hundreds of thousands of residents and tourists flying in and out of DXB’s three terminals every day, and thousands more coming to see off or pick up friends and family, these new color-coded car parks aim to simplify the parking experience.

Currently, parking charges at Terminal 1 range from Dh15 per hour to Dh125 per day, while at Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, fees range from Dh5 to Dh125 per day. Each additional day costs Dh100. For added convenience, flydubai passengers can pre-book parking spaces at Terminal 2 for as low as Dh50 per day, using a QR code to access their reserved spot.

Dubai International Airport also highlighted its record-breaking performance in the first half of 2024, with 44.9 million passengers, an 8% increase year-on-year. The airport’s real-time monitoring system has significantly reduced wait times, ensuring that 98% of guests experienced less than 10 minutes at departure passport control and 15 minutes at arrival passport control. Moreover, 95% of passengers cleared departure security screening in under three minutes. In a move to enhance the guest experience further, DXB will also introduce a new signature aroma at the Al Majlis VIP facility.
