Pay fines, renew driving licence in installments from next week; here's how
RTA Introduces Installment Payment Option for Services in Dubai
Starting next week, Dubai residents will be able to pay for Roads and Transport Authority's (RTA) services in installments, thanks to a new partnership with the Tabby App. Customers can now choose a flexible installment plan using Tabby on smart RTA kiosks when paying for services like vehicle licence renewal, driving licence renewal, and fines payment. This new payment method is part of RTA's initiative to make its services more accessible to all.
Smart Kiosks Provide Convenient Access to RTA Services
RTA's smart kiosks offer a wide range of digital services, including the payment of fines, licence renewals, issuance of certificates, and seasonal parking cards. The authority currently operates 30 smart kiosks across Dubai, allowing customers to quickly and conveniently complete transactions. For instance, renewing and printing a vehicle or driving licence can be done in under a minute at these kiosks.
Partnership with Tabby Expands Flexible Payment Options
The installment facility is powered by Tabby, a popular shopping and financial services app used by over 40,000 global brands and small businesses. Active in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Kuwait, Tabby helps businesses grow by offering customers flexible payment options both online and in physical stores. This partnership makes RTA one of the first government entities in Dubai to introduce an installment payment plan for its services.
